Description: ‘crumpled’ textile remains found along a sword (SF 9) and iron pin (SF 2/12). The textile fibres were hollow casts but the appearance and diameter range (20-37 microns) suggests wool.

Context: Cist burial with two nearly complete individuals. This textile is associated with Burial 1037 (adult, indeterminate sex).
Dating: radiocarbon dates from a sample of human bone gave a date range of 100 BCE to 70 CE (95% confidence).
